Ethos Private Equity, a leading private equity fund manager in South Africa, today announced that it has significantly increased its investment in Transaction Capital, the financial services company led by Mark Lamberti, the founder and architect of Massmart.

Dave Woollam recently joined Transaction Capital’s board as an independent, non-executive director and will act as chairperson of both the Audit, and the Risk and Compliance Committees. He will also be a member of the Asset and Liability Committee.

Transaction Capital, a privately owned financial services group operating in the lending, credit services and payment services sectors, has recently been awarded a Level Four B-BBEE rating from the National Empowerment Rating Agency (NERA) for the second consecutive year.

Bayport Securitisation (Pty) Ltd (BaySec), is pleased to announce that it has successfully listed a ZAR4.4bn asset-backed note programme on the Interest Rate Market of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).

Transaction Capital has recently been awarded a Level Four BEE rating from the National Empowerment Rating Agency (NERA).  This was the result of Group-wide transformation initiatives to ensure that all of Transaction Capital’s subsidiaries receive and improve their Black Economic Empowerment Ratings.
