The Nashua Mobile Visa gift card is used as an incentive for customers to purchase a cellphone contract with Nashua Mobile, and to encourage existing customers to renew their contract through Nashua Mobile. The Nashua Mobile Visa gift card is distributed through Nashua Mobile outlets and replaces the conventional “value” items that have been traditionally distributed with cellphone contracts, such as DVD players, digital cameras, paper vouchers etc.

The Nashua Mobile Visa gift card provides great brand awareness for Nashua Mobile, as its brand lies in a customer’s wallet. The Visa card has an element of prestige associated with it and is safer and more convenient than carrying multiple vouchers. It also provides Nashua Mobile customers with the flexibility of choice, as they can spend their gift card at any merchant – anywhere, anytime!

Tim Walter, general manager: Nashua Mobile, said the following in relation to the gift card programme: "Nashua Mobile has found the Visa/DrawCard gift card solution to be a great way to offer our clients extended choice by allowing them to use a gift card at any Visa merchant (as opposed to our previous offering, which was limited to certain shopping malls). Operationally, the card works well for us as it reduces risks from shrinkage and theft, and also reduces our stock-holding, as the value for the card is only loaded when the client activates it."
