SA Taxi Direct is SA Taxi’s direct dealership which was established in 2015 with the first dealership in Midrand (Gauteng). SA Taxi Direct sells both new minibus taxis and Quality Renewed Taxis. Quality Renewed Taxis are pre-owned taxis which SA Taxi has refurbished through its high-quality panel and mechanical process, producing a minibus taxi that is as good as new. In 2018, SA Taxi Direct opened a second dealership in Polokwane and also sells its Quality Renewed Taxis through affiliate dealerships.

SA Taxi Auto Repairs was established in 2009 and is one of the largest autobody repair and mechanical refurbishment facilities in Southern Africa. This facility based in Midrand (Gauteng) focuses exclusively on minibus taxis, with the primary activity being the refurbishment of repossessed minibus taxis into Quality Renewed Taxis. Quality Renewed Taxis are pre-owned taxis which SA Taxi has refurbished through a high-quality panel and mechanical process, producing a minibus taxi that is as good as new. Rebuilding and selling pre-owned minibus taxis mitigates SA Taxi’s credit risk and insurance losses.

All financed vehicles are required to have comprehensive insurance. SA Taxi has designed competitive and comprehensive insurance products for the minibus taxi industry sold through its insurance cell captive entity established in partnership with Guardrisk Insurance Company. SA Taxi’s insurance products are available to its finance clients as well as other minibus taxi operators in the open market. Most of SA Taxi’s clients choosing to insure their vehicles through SA Taxi Protect.

SA Taxi Auto Parts imports and locally procures new minibus taxi parts directly from the source. In addition, its salvage operation recovers and refurbishes used parts from vehicles that are not economically viable to repair. These parts are primarily used in SA Taxi’s refurbishment facilities. SA Taxi Auto Parts also retails well-priced new and pre-owned auto parts to minibus taxi operators online and through its parts retail facility in Midrand, targeting existing clients of SA Taxi, as well as other operators in the open market.

SA Taxi Rewards is an example of the direct benefits resulting from the ownership transaction between SA Taxi and SANTACO. In close collaboration with the minibus taxi industry, SA Taxi Rewards was established in 2018 to leverage the industry’s purchasing power to negotiate better pricing to benefit minibus taxi operators and associations. SA Taxi is using its telematics and other data collected from its rewards programmes to drive behavioural changes in the minibus taxi industry. This has a positive social impact on enhancing commuter safety.
